Miss Hall's

Anyone know anything about Miss Hall's School?
Ive already visited its website and received its brochure, but still anxious to know more about it!!

:)

THanx.

It could be anything.

47 posters have looked at your thread - - but no responses.

I gave you my impression on the girls' school thread. Is there something more specific that interest or concerns you? It sounds like you've already applied, so probably no urgent need for info before decisions are announced in March.

W went there and was a trustee, D applied/accepted recently, went elsewhere.

Our impression was a good one. Very dedicated teachers and a great HOS, Jeannie Norris. Jeannie is all about empowering girls and she knows what she's doing.
The girls were friendly and seemed happy. Some of the facilities were great, some needed work. It is a small school (enrollment has grown dramatically, recently) and it feels like a small school which may turn some off, like my daughter. Large black and Asian population.

At the end of the day, D wanted larger and coed, but for the right girl, MHS could be a fabulous choice.

Also, MHS day population is signif greater than that listed in the literature. Alhthough the sch site and in some directories list the boarding pop as 75-80%, in the past 2 years ist been closer to 65% - -which, given that it is a small school to begin with, means a small absolute number of boarders and perhaps less of a boarding experience than some would like.

I'm applying to Miss Hall's as well, onelittlepanda! are you applying to any other all girls schools??? very interested! hey, maybe we'll even go to school together next year!
