Alright, so at first I wasn't to open to an all girls school but after interviewing and touring I've realized it's pretty darn amazing.

I'd like to know alot alot alot about Miss Porters. Average SSAT, acceptance rate, population, etc. What ever you can give would be great! How prestigious is it? What tier?

I believe it's considered the top all-girls independent school at the moment.

As a graduate of an all-girls high school (that was coordinate at the time with a boys school .. but not co-ed), I have strong feelings that all-girls schools are wonderful, nuturing, places for young women looking to make a mark in the world.

I'm so glad you kept an open mind! My son is considerin Avon Old Farms and they do a lot of things together.
According to BSR (not always 100% accurate) 326 students, 23% of color, 66% are boarding. SSAT average 70%, acceptance rate 47%
16 interscholastic sports, 42 clubs

As cnp55 said, it is considered a one of the best all-girls schools from what we have heard.

We really are, at this point in our serach, feeling more and more strongly about single sex education. There is so much research about how girls and boys learn differently. Anyway, good luck and again, I'm glad you liked it and kept and open mind!

We loved Miss Porter's when we toured a couple of years ago. The level of attention given to each student seemed unmatched. It was the only tour/interview that had us sit in on a complete class as part of the process. We were invited to come back and sit in on another. Great school.
