Miss the interview deadline. What should I do?

Am I supposed to send the admission office an e-mail indicating I would like to request an interview?

I understand it is too late and I may not get one, but would doing so indicate that I do have interest in the school?

Or would it harm me because I only think about requesting it when the deadline has been over for so long?

It depends on the school but I know of only campus requested interviews if you visit the previous summer. Otherwise, you wait on them to call you to set up intrerviews. ALso it’s just as likely you won’t get called at all. The vast vast majority of schools don’t require interviews.

You should check each school’s website FAQ

I doubt it could harm you. Unless it says explicitly somewhere on their website, “We do not grant any interviews after the deadline,” go ahead and ask, all they can say is no.
