Hi , I'm an international student and I've sent in my application for colgate before their deadline. But I just recently noticed that the CSS profile due date was january 15th! This was strange because I know the CSS deadline is usually the 1st of feb or 15th of February. I'll be able to send in the application on Saturday because that's when I'll have all of the information for the profile available. Should I still send in my profile to Colgate? Will they still consider it and give me the aid I need? Or should I just not send it because there's no way they'll give me 100% aid(which is what I need) at this time?
Thanks in advance.

With all due respect… You have important questions about your application and you are asking a website community comprised largely of other applicants and parents about Colgate’s admissions and financial aid departments’ policies? Don’t you think you should contact the source and thereby ensure you get timely and official answers from the source? If I were you I wouldn’t waste any more time.

Good luck with your college search!

Go on ahead and send it in. Just understand that you might have jeopardized your chances. How much, no one is likely to tell you. I have known some students who got strong financial aid packages even when they were late getting some paperwork to the schools.

Go for it. Send it. I suggest you can email admissions explaining the delay. Good luck.

I missed the CSS deadline for my daughters application by two weeks for the same reasons as tamtablur. My wife filled it out in a panic and submitted it by guessing at the numbers. Two days later I sent corrected paper copies to all 12 schools that had been sent the incorrect form. (There is no electronic process to correct a CSS once submitted) . Even after all this Jack-assery Colgate still considered her financial aid application, admitted her, and gave her a grant of 75% of the full cost. All I can say is that the financial aid office obviously cares more about helping the students than about penalizing people for missing deadlines. I will always be grateful for their help.
