I'm a high school senior applying to Reed College (Early Decision II)

I'm 8 days late on the CSS PROFILE deadline for Early Decision II due to a death in the family that happened on the 28th. My father and mother have been distraught and unable to help me with the form and I can't finish it without them. They had to set up a funeral abroad and get visas for relatives to come to the US as well.

Now, I think I should turn it in tonight with their help and call the school tomorrow and explain the issue (it's a Sunday night).

Do you think that it wil be possible for me to still apply EDII and get a fair shot at financial aid? My family really needs it.

Or, is my only option for fair financial aid to apply Regular Admission now, because this would make my chances of getting in much slimmer.
