<p>Last week one of my best friends died, and now I desperately want to leave the school I go to. However many of the schools I'm interested in have already had their transfer application deadlines past. What are the chances that they would allow me to submit an app under special circumstances?</p>
<p>Well a lot of “deadlines” are priority deadlines and students can still submit beyond that deadline. Unfortunately students who submitted ahead of you obviously receive “priority”. </p>
<p>Sorry that you lost a friend, hope it all works out. But to be exempt from deadlines and rules that all other students must adhere to seems to be very far-fetched. I’m sorry if that sounds harsh but I think it is an honest opinion. </p>
<p>You can always contact the schools you are interested in and make them aware of your circumstances. It is better than not mentioning it at all. Once again, I hope everything works out for you. Sorry for your loss.</p>
