Just checking through my financial aid stuff and realized that I had missed the financial aid form deadline, 2/15. I have already sent FAFSA and CSS stuff to the college. So I went ahead and sent the form and my tax returns. Do you think that they will accept them?

Did the same thing last year, and it didn't affect anything. I doubt they'd punish our kids for our mess ups! Besides, fin aid's work is supordinate to admissions, and a lot more complicated in some ways.

I spoke to one LAC with a mid-January date and the girl actually volunteered that the date was merely a guideline to motivate people to get info in quickly! No biggie if it was a bit late; however, publics may have more hard & fast deadlines.

I had a friend that submitted late fin aid info last year about two months late. The college still accepted the paperwork, but could not guarantee the meeting of 100% need because the forms were late. They did get a decent award though.
