So I misread the finals schedule and missed my exam yesterday because I thought it was this morning! I am crazy, but it was an honest mistake, a major mistake, yet honest. So I am waiting to hear from my teacher. The thing that makes me sick is I already received 2 A's in other classes and this was another A, in spanish 314, but who knows now! Anyway, I am just really frustrated and I still haven't heard back from the teacher... what's she doing!?!

let your imagination go wild!

This may ruin your GPA badly...

Send her another email...

She's going to let me take it tomorrow in her office while she finishes everybody's final grades. That is awesome! This could have ended a lot worse, and probably should have. I worked really hard in her class though, I was ranked 2/25, so she must have believed me. Everything is settled, but I do not think I will ask her to write my tranfer rec now, that was the plan before yesterday.

haha I did the same thing devo and missed my accounting exam. The guy's so nice though...I had to go downtown where he was teaching other classes and take it. He didn't look thrilled when he wrote down A in his grade book. I'm such a slacker. :D

Awesome. The lesson: don't give up.

my s missed an exam last year at UF. He ran to the prof's office who let him sit down and take it right then and there while he graded other tests. Totally cool!! It is nice to hear stories of nice, understanding teachers when there are probably many who would be total creeps about it.

Good for you!!

This is why "real" classes are better than online courses.
In online courses, if you miss a test for whatever reason, there is no "second chance" and you permanently get a 0 on the test. I mean really, I know a kid who got a 0 in his online test because the power got out in the middle of the exam.. and the site gives you only one chance to complete it so he couldn't retake it. He was getting a 98% on the class, but he ended up with an 87% B cuz of that incident.

A story about final:

It was the weekend before the finals, and two friends were too lazy to study. So on Friday night they took a little trip to Las Vegas and did some major partying. They woke up on Tuesday morning and realized they had missed their Monday final. They quickly drove back to the school and appealed to the professor's sympathy. They told their professor that on Sunday night they took a little ride to unwind from all the "studying" they had been doing. Unfortunately, two of their tires blew off, so they had to walk back to campus which was miles and miles away (this was before the advent of cellphones and e-mail). They asked for a re-test of the final, and the professor hearing their story agreed to let them retake it. The two friends were estatic, they thought they had gotten away with it. Come Wednesday morning, both friends came to the professors, and the he put them in two seperate room for their finals. When they opened their exam there was only one question:
"Which two tires blew off?"

That sucks majorly. They better have been best friends to do the whole telepathy thing.
