For reasons I would rather not go into, I somehow haven't sent in my CSS Profile app to USC yet. I'm gonna send it in, but I'd like to know... um, how much would this affect my financial aid package?

USC only guarantees to meet USC-determined need for those who submit all financial aid applications on time. That said, I have observed posts here from a few posters who submitted very late financial aid applications and still received aid that made it possible to attend.

What you should do now:
-Submit the CSS/Profile IMMEDIATELY
-Submit tax information as soon as possible - tell your parents they need to get their taxes done.
-Submit any other requested documents and information as soon as possible.

What you should do by the 3rd week of April if you have not yet received a package:
-Request an extension of the May 1st commitment deadline from USC until your aid package is received.

What you MUST do by May 1st:
-Make a commitment deposit to the school you will attend if USC is unaffordable by May 1st. Do NOT allow May 1st to go by without making a deposit to a school you KNOW you can afford. If USC turns out to be affordable, your deposit to the other school will be lost, but if USC is unaffordable you do not want to be without any options.

Got it. Thank you very much!
