I did early decision to Tufts but missed both financial aid deadlines. I completely misinterpreted my guidance counselor and now I am in a state of total panic..
Is it still possible to apply for financial aid?

Any input would help! Thanks

You need to contact the FA office live in order to find out the fastest way to submit your stuff. Sit with your parents and do the CSS profile on line NOW, so atleast Tufts can pull that within the next couple of days.

Agreed with Sybbie. Call Tufts and speak to someone...but do it quickly. Many schools are preparing to go on break and even the folks in the finaid office get a vacation. Do the Profile (using VERY good estimates) and submit it ASAP.

I'm surprised your guidance counselor had anything to do with helping you with financial aid...usually GC's don't know ANYTHING about the financial aid process...and it would be virtually impossible for them to keep up with the multitude of deadlines for submission for all of the colleges their students apply to.

How did you realize you missed the deadline? Did Tufts send you something? I know one of my kid's EA schools sent us a reminder about the priority submission of the Profile...and good that they did. THAT is what made me painfully aware of deadlines! They are set for a reason. BUT many schools do have a leeway in this process. Call Tufts..TODAY.
