I submitted my early action application to the University of Virginia at 10am on November 2nd due to a wind event that caused a power outage. I know I could’ve submitted it on my phone but I had other things going on and it’s too late now. I emailed UVA admissions around 24 hours explaining my situation and haven’t received a response. Is there anything else I should do?
Can you ask that your application still be considered in the RD round?
All you can do is ask, they did extend the EA deadline to Nov 15 for those affected by the California fires. But, if and when you get to make your case, do NOT say this:
Although completing and submitting the app is relatively difficult on a phone this makes it sound like you had the opportunity to submit on time, yet chose to not submit on time.
Good luck.
Sit tight. The staff members who process applications get to have a weekend. You emailed on Saturday. They will see the email today (Monday) and get back to you.
