I'm basically missing 1 prereq (calculus 2) that is on my TAG agreement with UC Davis for Fall 2009. I was wondering if this automatically means I do not get in and my TAG is cancelled. I will still apply for Fall 2009 even if my TAG gets cancelled, but what are the chances of me getting in? My GPA is not very strong but it is still above the 2.9 minimum. I don't mind taking calculus 2 over the summer, but I will not have finished it by Spring 2009... and that's what the TAG agreement says to do. Advice / suggestions?!

My friend just called them and they allowed him to take one course over the summer even with TAG. Although this is not a sure shot method its worth a try. You should call as soon as possible. Also, if it does not work out then it is possible to transfer. Remember that your grades in the fall will count because they will ask for a grade update. Therefore, in theory you could increase your GPA with some smart planning. Also, if you are worried try to make your essay as solid as possible. If you have a major, completed your pre-req, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, complete IGETC then you can get into UC Davis just fine.

Not completing required courses as listed on your TAG or required courses for admission into the major will place your TAG agreement and admissions at jeopardy. It is always best to keep the campuses up to date on how your coursework is progressing so they can offer any advice on how to keep your TAG or admissions to the campus.
