I will be a freshman this year, double majoring in Enviro and Bio. I want to take a a whale shark research trip to Tanzania with a world famous shark scientist. Marine biology is my passion and my chosen career path and I feel like this trip will be a great experience and a great resume builder. However, I would be missing 4 days of classes in the middle of November…is it worth it? I plan on talking to my professors beforehand about making up work and exams but my parents aren’t convinced…Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Edit: My class schedule is pretty easy, I looked on rate my professor and it doesn’t look like any of my professors are unreasonable and they don’t give a ton of work.
