Missing Admissions Workshop

A couple of days ago, one of my top schools hosted an admissions workshop. I signed up for it, but ended up not being able to go (and forgot to cancel my spot).

The school doesn’t track demonstrated interest, but now I’m worried that this could count negatively against me since they asked for my name and major and everything. I’m sure that I’m just being silly and there is nothing to worry about, but it’s been nagging at me for a few days. Does anyone know if this could matter?

you’re being silly (your words)

good luck.

There’s nothing to worry about. These workshops are about increasing yield. For colleges that do not track demonstrated interest, they are mostly about advertising the college. It’s a more sophisticated version of the college junk mail, that’s all.

So no need at all to be nervous.

Good luck!

Haha thank you for the reassurance!!

Thank you for the explanation- that makes me feel a lot better:))
