Okay, I'm about to have a heart attack.

I was going through another thread, and read about something regarding the gateway account; I never heard of this, so decided to activate mine tonight. On the checklist under "required documents" that I need to send, it lists "Insufficient UG Part 1&2 Fee - Dom."

What is this?

First of all, I thought that we would be notified (by mail) if we were missing any required documents. Secondly, I know I paid the fees; wouldn't my application not have been sent if I didn't?

Does anyone else have this on their gateway accounts?

don't worry that happened to me too, for some reason that happened to a lot of people, you just have to fax them your credit card information, it doesn't affect your application at all, so no worries.
relax jouraynalism :D

thank the freaking lord. thank you so much.

Wait, wait. Are you kidding me? Just fax them the credit card info???!!! I freaked out when I found out so badly that I sent in a postal money order for 75 dollars extra! Well, great for me now. Oh, well, there's no point crying over spilled milk I guess. But I could have bought some new shoes with that money.

omg now i am really worried if all my stuff got there... ahhhh!!! why isn't the gateway thingy working?

I wish I would have found out about this earlier on, though. I never even heard of the Gateway thing. Was I just supposed to figure all this out on my own?! Good god, I hope I'm not the only one currently with that "insufficient" fee thing.

haha i know! they should've been better about notifying us

hahahah i know i had NO idea about the gateway thing until ...today

I checked my gateway and it says I have missing documents for financial aid.

Um..I sent those in mid-February, so I'm assuming they don't frequently update Gateway, correct?

So this morning, I called the admissions office. First of all, he started yelling at me the minute I mentioned the Gateway website. He said something along the lines of "Don't look at that! It's wrong! But whatever, I'll look you up anyways. Give me your ID number. Don't go to that website, we don't support it." So he looked me up, and it turns out that the website WAS right, and that I needed to send my fees in. Then he told me to make out a check for 50 dollars, and to do it quick because it may be delaying my decision. Then I remembered, "Isn't the app fee $65."

This guy made me so mad. How else was I supposed to find out that I was missing something if the admission counselors don't support the Gateway site? I got no other notification of anything missing, and for this guy to yell at me for checking the Gateway when that was the ONLY way I could've found out really ****es me off.

How come the admissions guy got mad at you using the gateway website?
If you can log on, does that mean you got in?

No, I've been able to log on for a long, long time, since way back in early February. It is just a means for which to check documents and the like. That guy was seriously smoking some crack. I spoke with a girl who was very sweet about the situation. She told me that it was in no means delaying or jeopardizing my application, but that I should send it in anyways as soon as possible. Of course, I did mention the Gateway account to her and she said absolutely not one word about it.Like I said, he was smoking crack.

yeah i was doubting gateway a little so i just called in today to ask about any missing documents. i also asked if the decision was available yet and she said mine would be mailed out this week. i think they already made a decision on my app b/c she said something along the lines of "we're not allowed to release the decision over the phone." i can't even tell if it was a good or bad tone of voice. :(. dang.

They are trained like that. It's uncanny. lol

if it gives you guys any hope,

back in january, i got a letter about missing documents on a friday and i flipped out for 3 days until i could call on monday... then when i called, it turned out the letter was a mistake. so i casually asked when i would get my decision and the woman replied, "we're just starting to send things out; the first letters are going out this week, but yours could come any time between now and april." an HOUR later, my mail showed up with my acceptance packet.

so they really aren't going to tell you anything over the phone, even if it is good news. just sit tight and good luck!

I''m telling you guys. They're like trained by the CIA not to divulge even the slightest hint, voluntarily or subconsciously. They're weird people, I tell you

do you guys know if people who got rejected can or can't log into gateway?

I believe that you can as long as you submitted ur application

what's the gateway website?

this gateway website is driving me crazy!
i still can't log on...
i mean i confirmed with my counselor today about my completed application (so now i know that counselors at my school calls every single college that the students applied for to make sure all the application materials got there)
but i am curious why i can't log on... T.T
