Is anyone else receiving letters saying that your tax returns, FAFSA, and CSS are missing, even though you have completed all of them? The other schools I applied to (and that were on the same FAFSA transaction) received my info. I went on the Profile website and it says it was processed and that if my school says they don't have it, they definitely do but it is probably being processed. Happening to anyone else?

Yep. This is exactly my case. I've even got my early finiancial aid estimate from U of C, to which I sent all of that stuff at the same time as I sent them to MIT. Weird.

Same here. We even have a tracking ID - the IDOC part was delivered to the Collegeboard 2/14. Still not posted by Collegeboard.

Trying to figure out how to let MIT know...

i thought the financial deadline for MIT is march 2nd.

randomdad, I emailed the financial aid office at finaid@mit.edu. They only replied by saying that the forms aren't there to which I replied "obviously!" I'm going to call Tuesday and ask if I can mail in my SAR, my CSS Profile copy, and my tax returns. I just hate that after paying $18 to send the Profile to MIT, they claim not to have it.

You may want to be sure that we have your Social Security number. For whatever reason this year, there were many students who did not provide their SSN as part of their admissions application, so we do not have it. This prevents us from matching your application data (Profile, FAFSA, etc).

We are going through records by hand now to see if this is a problem, but if you want to check with us on Monday this may be the issue.

See my post here -- http://blogs.mit.edu/barkowitz/posts/6885.aspx -- for some more information on this issue and the resolution for it.

Um, just curious, how would they match finaid apps for intl applicants (considering they don't have SSNs)
