I recently got an email saying that I was missing my FAFSA/iDOC information. Did anyone else who applied ED2/RD also get this message? Anyone who applied ED2 and for financial aid NOT get this email? I doubt a lot of people were able to file their tax returns this early…
The only two pieces of info im missing is IDOC and 2015 tax returns. This is normal because IDOC just opened up and is due March 1st and 2015 tax returns are also recently just able to be sent in and not due till march either.
Im an Ed2 student, everything else is marked complete including fafsa.
Also hey, I think I saw you on the NU threads earlier. I applied ED there and got denied, so Im really hoping I get lucky at Emory :)!
Ayyy lol… Yeah I mostly applied to Northwestern ED out of complete whim; I wish I applied ED1 here instead lol. Hope we both get in lol
I heard rumors that receiving this email might indicate a sign of acceptance bc there’s no reason to file idocs/fafsa for Emory until after we get in but idk I also heard that financial aid and the admissions process are completely separate lol…
I wish I applied ed1 here too… soo much. I chose NU over emory at like the final hour when I really would of rather gone to Emory. I had all my emory stuff ready but something stopped me. I regret it so much after seeing the stats of ed1 kids here…but I know I just gotta move on and hope for the best. I’m at peace with it haha.
I also heard the rumors but I don’t think the emails are a sign of acceptance based on what I’ve read, who knows, if it is I’d be so happy. I talked to the fin aid office yesterday about a question regarding this email and they didn’t seem to indicate whether I was in or not… so I don’t think they know.
Good luck, seems like we’re in very similar situations.
I received that email too and I applied ED2. I agree that there is no reason for them to request fin aid near the admission decision. Hopefully that is a sign of acceptance!
does everyone receive that email?
I received it too (I’m ED2). Is there anyone that did not get the email?
I think everyone got it the more I read about this
But it seems like only ED2 applicants receive this email!
This might be a positive sign because regular applicants didn’t get emails.
My daughter applied RD and received that email.
We received that email and applied Rd. Interesting though that on the financial aid “to do” list there are items with status “initiated”. anyone else have that?
RD here and received emails and phone calls. I truly think it’s a mass reminder if you indicated you intended on applying for financial aid on your application.
I applied RD and got multiple emails too. On my to do list it said “initiated”. I was confused on what they meant by that because for my other colleges it just says “incomplete” or “complete”.
@collegehopeful4321 Initiated basically means incomplete or not submitted.
