I got a letter from cornell saying that i'm missing my CSS profile... but i clearly sent it in before the deadline, i even have the receipt still.. did anyone else experience this?
thx

i got the same letter saying they need my profile and a business farm supplement but my parents don't even own a farm/business so i'm calling tomorrow to clear things up.

W.....T.....F

is the registrar at Cornell THAT incompetent...that's absolutely ridiculous, i hope i don't have to go through this bull*****

lol i don't know what's going on, it took me a while to figure out what i was missing cause the letter is like "the following list of things are missing" and i don't see a list... but i just read a paragraph telling me how to send in the CSS and CSS Noncustodial parent profile... :S

Cornell loses a lot of paperwork. Every year that I was there I kept copies of everything I sent them because something would get lost, guaranteed. Most of what they lost was related to financial aid.

princeton wannabe - exactly the same thing happened to me! i hope this doesn't jeapordize our chances for financial aid if we have a confirmation from PROFILE saying that we submitted it months ago...

ohh...if we have to resubmit the PROFILE...does any one know if a photocopy will suffice or do we have to pay again cuz thats not really fair...

i know.. i would hate to pay like 36 more consider i had to do the NC one as well.

I also got a letter saying they were missing financial aid information just yesterday. I had to resubmit the freshman financial aid application which I had already sent in, and send a copy of my and my parents tax return which i had not yet sent in. I havent been admitted yet, does anyone know if they are asking for this information that it is a good sign for being admitted?

I think they calculate it for everyone cus I got a letter from them asking for stuff during ED and I didn't get in! :( So sorry, but no.

so i called Cornell and apparently for the PROFILE, if you put your Canadian Social Insurance Number where you were supposed to write a US Social Security Number (like i did...oppps), than everything is screwed up and you need to call Cornell and they'll give you a different number to put there.

candi14ever,
what number did they give you? do we have to pay again for this? argh

that's exactly what i did. i put CDN ss security number on there..

NickyJane18,

are you serious? sht.. that sucks...

princetonwannabe - i think the number they tell you to write on the form is specific to each individual - they sort out the applications based on your number, which is why the original PROFILE we sent out was probably misplaced or something...how we were supposed to know about this beforehand i have no idea. anyways, i think you're better off calling them to ask for your number.

i called PROFILE and asked them to change the number...they didn't mention anything about a fee so i'm hoping my credit card won't be charged...
