Missing half the class sessions and still pass the class, possible??

<p>I really want to take this class, but it's a hybrid class that meets every Fridays. I emailed the Prof. that I can still pass the class if most of the quizzes are online. I also asked him if I can take exam early, he didn't answer that part, but...........I don't mind a C. </p>

<p>I know, I am being stubborn, but I will not drop the class even if I know that I won't be able to attend most of the classes. I had to go somewhere out of state--very personal matter I have to deal with.</p>

<p>If there are 2 exams, and I missed one, I'm sure it's not that bad... I think. </p>

<p>When I see him at class during the first day, I'll probably lie and tell him, I am not going anymore. I need some encouragement, do you think it's possible for me to pass the class if I did really well in my quizzes and final exam?</p>

<p>I'm planning to do this by the way in 2 of my classes! My 3 other classes are online.</p>

<p>You are paying (or your parents are) for your education. Why bother even signing up for classes that you want to skip? Terrible idea.</p>

<p>If it’s a “very personal matter” then you’re probably not going to be able to commit yourself to studying even if you DO skip the classes. </p>

<p>What I mean is that I sign up for a hybrid class (it meets both online and 1 day classroom session a week). I kind of have an idea of what I can expect from this class since I took a class from the professor. Most the quizzes, homework, or project are online. Only the exams are taken in class. </p>

<p>So, I emailed the professor, if it is possible for him to let me take the exam early (if the first exam is before October). He did not directly answer the question, instead he suggested that I take the class next time when I am ready. </p>

<p>I need the CREDITS for a job/internship I am planning to apply in spring 2012.</p>

<p>Yeah, it’s a little confusing. If you can’t attend the class sessions, take the quizzes, or even one of the finals, there is seriously no point to taking the class. If I were your professor, I would fail the hell out of you, because it’s really obvious that you don’t care.</p>

<p>It’s a hybrid class. All the quizzes, homework or project will be taken/submitted online. I know the professor. He only gives out 2 exams. One in the middle, and the final exam. So, I’m only worried about missing the first exam.</p>

<p>If I miss one exam, but did well on others, I will probably pass… I think.</p>

<p>I had a class I only went to three times. I got a B. It depends on the requirements for your class.</p>
