Missing Interview=bad?

Hey. i've been so caught up in ED colleges that i completely forgot about the MIT interview deadline! im so irritated. I called my local interviewer and left a msg asking if it's possible to still have an interview. i really hope i could. but will this affect me negatively? i cant believe this happened.......

the admission rate for those who don't have an interview is only 6%

what does that mean?

That means you're half as likely to be admitted if you don't have an interview. :(

Aoshi, I'm in the same boat as you are :) I was like, I HATE EA AND ED so much, I'll not work on college apps at all until decisions

Today: someone: I did my Mit interview
me: CRAP

yeah...and thus I just called today ~_~

Good luck~

I missed my interview deadline as well...

But I emailed my contact and she said she'll give me an interview on the 26th...I don't know if MIT would still accept it, but I see no reason why they won't.

Of course they will accept it. MIT admissions officers won't start reading applications until after the new year, and selection won't start until February.

The deadline to contact your EC is more a courtesy to your EC -- it doesn't reflect a deadline within the admissions office itself.
