Missing Material - Am I at a disadvantage?

I had some missing material from my application that I needed to take care of, and the college emailed me on the 16th about it.

I have sent them in immediately, but I called them 2 days ago and they still haven't received it. It's been over a week now.

They said that all materials must be in by March 1st, so am I at a disadvantage? My application is still incomplete (by no fault of mine, honestly) and I'm not sure if they'll process it in time for 3/1. I'm assuming that they're less willing to accept those with later applications, especially if they already have accepted a majority of the people.

As long as they get the materials sometime around March 1st, I don’t think you’d be at a disadvantage. They have a lot of applications to read, and they will probably just put yours aside until everything is assembled. I’m just speculating, though. What did you send? Is it possible to fax or email it rather than send it through paper mail?
