So I open up my e-mail and see something from Middlebury saying that I'm missing something and I obviously get terrified that my supplement was lost in the mail, but the status-checker simply says senior grades. However, my mid-terms are still two weeks away, so my first semester grades are far from final. Should I call the admissions office and tell them this, or just have first quarter sent? Also, does anyone else have this problem?

Hi! First semester I was informed of this missing component as well (I applied ED1)- it turns out that first quarter grades are what they expect, and they don't expect you to send in your midyear report until it is prepared.

Yeah I remember when I got one of those and I got kind of worried. Just send them in as soon as you get them. They don't actually start making decisions until February anyway (except some who are easy decisions either way).

i asked my college counselors, its standard for them to do that to all applicants til they get the mid year reports. make sure your school sends them when your 1st semester ends, no big

Maybe our school is a little different, but we got no such notice. I do know, however, that along with transcript etc, they do send first quarter grades. Midyear reports will be sent at the end of the month or close (semester just ended last Friday). Maybe they aren't as familiar with your high school but in any event, I would make sure your school sends whatever grades are currently available. If you only get semester grades, I think that bears mentioning to Admissions.
