Hi guys,

I applied to UCLA for fall 2014 but declined. Now I am thinking about applying again. I just checked Assist.org and saw that the Communication Studies agreement with Santa Monica College - UCLA (for 13-14, 14-15 was not available) have added Linguistics 1. I really can't remember that this class was on there before, but it may have been because the 13-14 agreement was not available at the time of my application and maybe showed 12-13 instead.

Anyway, the problem is that I haven't taken this class. It is the only class I am missing. I am back in my home country now and because I am an international student, it is pretty much impossible for me to go back to the US and take this class before fall next year (because of visa rules, I really don't want to take 9 other units that I don't need). So .. my question is > How badly can this affect my application? I know that CS is really impacted but I am finished with every other class on the agreement and the IGETC etc… I really can't justify going back to the US for one semester and fill up with classes I don't need when it's so expensive and I really need to stay at home working and saving up every penny lol!

Opinions appreciated thanks :)
