I received a letter from Andover a few days ago saying that they never received the parent statement. My family did not argue that we were 100% positive that we sent it, we just faxed them a copy the next day. Does this affect my chances? The admissions office said it didn't but i'm really not sure about that.

trust the school that it won't

Yeah, Andover didn't receive my parent statement either, but on MyAndover is says that they received it about a week after the deadline, and I'm going to be considered a regular applicant.

Andover has one of the worst "filing" system. They are in crates which they file at the last minute. I sent them double almost everything to which they later told me they had

we got a letter saying that my school didn't send the transcript, so we're just going to scan and e-mail it to them

is that ok or does the school have to do it?

R&C: your current school really needs to send that part in.

What you could do is go ahead with the scan and email, but tell the Admissions folks in the email that you are sending the scan so their office can have it as soon as possible, and that your current school will follow up with a hard copy (and, of course, make sure that your current school does indeed follow up). That way all your bases are covered.
