Early today I received an email from yale saying they are missing my teacher recs but my teachers told me they sent them back in October. Is anyone else in this situation?!

has anyone else even received an email?

nope. do they only send the email if ur missing stuff, or do they send it to all applicants?

I got an email that said my transcript/secondary school report didn't get there. Which is extremely weird because they were in the same envelope as my teacher recs, which the counseling officed Fed-Exed. So I don't know how they didn't get there, but the recs did.

D got email #1 saying that Yale Supplement, Teachers Recs, and School report were missing. Then got email # 2 apologizing for email #1 and saying that only the School Report is missing. It was included in the same envelope with the Teacher Recs so I assume we will get an email soon saying that they have it.

Today I got an e-mail saying my transcript and secondary school report were not received. My school is closed until Tuesday, so looks like Yale will have to wait almost a week to get the necessary information. Hopefully it won't end up hurting me in the long run. Needless to say this wrench puts a damper on my confidence for my interview on Friday.

If nec (to expedite), your Counselor could fax all missing material in, rather than waiting for these to be mailed in.

I didn't get an email yet... any word on whether everyone will get them or just people who are missing stuff?

I got an e-mail saying my school report (counselor report and transcript) were missing. I e-mailed my admissions person for my area and told him that because of thanksgiving break, my counselor wouldn't be able to get it in until monday, and I asked whether I would have to be deferred because of the issue. He e-mailed me back and said that as long as I get my things in next week, everything should be fine. The admissions committee doesn't even start reviewing apps until the first week of December, he said.

One can recieve one of two messages:
* An email stating that you're missing a part of the application.
* The BLUE Eli letter to activate your online decision profile.

Later, you may get a call from a Yale alumnus. That is to set up your (optional) interview.

I got the blue eli letter but that letter clearly states that they'll contact applicants later on about missing parts of their application, so I doubt receiving the eli letter means that your app is complete. Hmm.

yea i'm in the exact same boat as filmxoxo

Anybody who was missing parts of the application get confirmation that everything is there yet? I haven't, and that makes me nervous.

D got an email from our regional admission rep Wednesday requesting a fax copy of transcript even though the "official" one was on it's way. She said she'd email again if anything else was missing and she hasn't. We have not received any "your app is complete" communication. Don't worry. I'm sure you would have gotten en email if there was stuff missing.

I did get an email that my secondary school report and transcript were missing, about a week and a half ago. They were faxed (and sent out, my school doesn't listen to directions) that same day. So I was hoping for confirmation, but I'm relieved that I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten confirmation yet.

I called a few days ago to ask if I should be worried that I haven't recieved an application complete confirmation and the girl I talked to said not to worry and that they would have contacted me if anything were missing.

After I received the email saying my recs were missing, I got additional copies from my teachers and overnighted them to yale on Tuesday. I still don't know if they received them though.

does anyone know if the Admissions office is open on Saturdays?

The office is not "officially" open.
But if you email with specific inquiry, you could get an answer back fairly quickly.
(e.g. email to Adm was answered in the evenings, or on Sat, previously).

If College Board hadn't sent Yale my official SAT score report, would they notify me about that?
