Missing recs/school report??

I just checked my status on the Harvard website, and it says that they've received my common app and supplement, but not my teacher recs (which were in the same envelope, sealed in smaller envelopes...was that a bad thing to do?) or my school report, which was sent out over two weeks ago.

have those things not been processed yet, or is it possible that they won't accept the recs being sent with my application? that's just my school's policy, for the student to send the rec.

grrh sorry I'm annoying, I just don't want to screw up my chances even more by having a messed up application.

anyone? i want to get this figured out as soon as i can, especially if i need to resend something..

Where should you go to check your status? If it you could give me an exact link it would be appreciated.

they e-mail you a passcode, then you go the admissions site and to electronic resources and you can check your status there.

Its fine. The same thing has happened to me. I don't think they update that resources site. They'll probably call you are missing anything.

No, they update frequently. I'm applying early and my school report was listed as missing, so I federal expressed a copy of it from my counselor and by the Nov. 1 deadline my status switched to complete. If you're applying early I suggest overnighting a copy to be safe.

My school report and recommendations are "not received." But as far as I know, my teachers and counselor sent them all separately 3 weeks ago. So 3 weeks is a long time...I'm worried : (

Oh! nevermind! : ) I checked it again, and they must be working late at night, because my records were updated, they got it. Wow, I'm so happy...and I can continue to be happy for about 40 more days

yay mine were updated too! haha no worries until december :)

42/41 DAyS!!!!!!!!!

my teachers and guidance counselor sent them a week ago - but still missing....

iwiw17 join me in the countdown thread

Anyone got interview ?

The same thing actually happened (and is happening) to me. My complete application (everything) was mailed in a single envelope, but Harvard only seems to have, or to have documented, the app and the supplement but not the recs or report. I do hope they find it soon. =)

Requirements
All required documents have been received. Thank you.
Application Type Early

ok so being the procrastinator that i am, i sent my online app with supplement and money at 1:00 a.m. on November 1st. I checked my email from Harvard, and it said my status was regular decision and said that my application was submitted on november 2nd. I checked back on Commonapp.org, and it said that I submitted my app on November 1st, but it was downloaded on November 2nd. Also, Harvard's site said that my school report wasn't in, and my counselor told me he sent that in a month ago (however 2 days ago he told me that people's school reports weren't showing up to colleges.) I e-mailed admissions and I'm having my counselor call tomorrow, but do any of you think that I will still be able to apply early action, which was my general intent? I'm going to be so upset if this doesn't work out, but I'm worried Harvard will be strict about this. Response would be awesome, sorry this is such a long post.

I met the same problem.I checked my stats today and found out that my mailing materials which i have sent out two weeks ago havent been received...sigh...so i can just send another package of app.materials with a copy of explanation letter to tell them that it's not my bad ...T_T

how about you guys??? and good luck to all of us!

So weird, I send everything in one package, but they say that my school rec is missing, lol... They have updated my SAT status, but the school rec is still missing... Should I call them?

Why would you expect to be EA when you sent your application AFTER the deadline?

you probably forgot to designate harvard as REA on the commonapp website.
