So, um, what if you were accepted and just realized that you never sent in your ACT Scores?
Um. cough

I believe that they only require all scores from either the SAT or the ACT and not both. so if you sent all your SAT scores I think you can have a clean conscience.
I guess I don’t have a clear conscience. I turned neither in :’/ God help me.
Does that mean they accepted you without receiving an official score of any kind? Or did you send in one official score from one of the tests? I think all of them require an officially submitted score from at least one of the tests.
Yep, unless my counselors sent my test scores behind my back or something. And I’ve received no notification early on stating I was missing anything. I plan to call them Monday, but I’m scared they’ll rescind admission because of it.
That’s interesting. Colleges generally contact you if anything is missing. I would assume they had what they needed to accept you although I’ve never heard of anyone being accepted without sending an official test score unless the college doesn’t require testing.
Did you self report the scores on the application?
If I understand your dilemma correctly then I don’t see how you can get in trouble here since the college chose to accept you without official scores. And as long as you reported the correct scores on the application then it shouldn’t matter if at some point they end up requesting the official scores. They will probably request it along with the final transcript. UC schools are a little different than other colleges in that they allow a student to self report grades and scores and don’t request a transcript unless the student accepts the offer. Maybe they allow self reporting for test scores in the same fashion.
But some high schools do put test scores on transcripts so it’s possible the college has the scores that way.
Maybe your question to them should be something like: “As an accepted student, when should I send my official transcript and test scores to you?”
My ACT composite score is reported on my transcrpt, but UC doesn’t require a transcript until after you’ve accepted admission. Therefore, they have no actual documentation except for my self-reported scores.
What I am scared of is that the deadline explicitly said that ACT/SAT official reports need to be turned in by early January at most. Or else my chances for being accepted would be hurt. Yet, I have been accepted.
I am aware that UC uses official ACT reports for the review process. I’ve also looked up old threads in which people who had also submitted late test scores were reassured by the admissions officer that “it didn’t matter by then.”
It apparently didn’t hurt my chances too much that they accepted me. I already graduated from high school so my provisional admission to keep my grades up is already guaranteed. I am probably also an ELC. California policy is that the top 9% of their class at California high school are granted automatic admission into a UC (I was class rank 1 of 259). However, I could have been rejected at UCSD and instead offered admission at a less-reputable UC like Merced as an ELC.
Situation is resolved. I called the admissions office and like @amy989 guessed, I was allowed to turn it in by July, the cutoff for all documents.
That’s great news!
