I applied in October for Berkeley as an out-of-state student from the East Coast. I know that the UC app asks for A-G Subject Area Requirements, and the only one I don't have is a visual arts requirement. I go to a competitive pre-engineering high school, so consequently we have no art classes at all. I sent my application in even though it says I'm missing a visual arts requirement. Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm not sure how this will affect admission... it is just a art class. Should I just e-mail them and tell them?

I have the same problem. Thankfully, there is the examination path of eligibility through which we can take.

yeah, I don’t think it will be a major problem. They will probably notice that you go to a pre-engineering high school, and that you may not be able to fill every single required course. As long as you have good grades, good ec’s, etc. you still have a shot.
