My reccomendations were emailed through ecredentials on October 30th. They are still listed as not received. By what time do they need to be logged for me to make the EA deadline?

Thought deadline for LOR was November 4th, but I’m not totally sure what the grace period is. You should get an email within 48 hours after using your UMID stating that “You’re Qualified for Early Action!” If not, then there’s a problem and you should call UMICH to see what can be done.

Yes, the deadline for recommendation was extended to 11/4 11:59pm EST.

I have, they say it takes 5-10 days to log my information. I just hope I make the EA pool

Is anyone else having problems with things being unreceived?

How long have you had your Wolverine Access account activated? Usually only takes around 24 hours for things to trickle into there, at least for me.

I got the email for it on the 21st, a few days after I submitted my application (but before my recs, school report, and transcript were submitted)

Wait, so did I not qualify for early action if I didn’t receive a “You’ve Qualified!” email? I submitted my app on the 30th and everything was shown as downloaded on Common App the next day, but Wolverine Access said that my transcript and letters of rec were only received today (my tests scores were received 11/1). Should I talk to admissions?

From what I understand, the deadline (11/1) is for your application and essays. If counselors submit letters, school reports, or anything else late, it is okay so don’t worry!

If all the components of your application were timestamped or post marked on time you should be fine. If you are not verified for EA and have proof you should have been there is a process to appeal on the UofM website. Michigan seems to be quicker with the e-mails in early to mid October, but if you submitted at the last minute sometimes it takes awhile for everything to change on the website to reflect EA and your e-mail verifying EA to come through. You can certainly check with admissions, however, if it would ease your mind.

Can anyone who got email verifying the EA check your (View Application Data — Other Information — Notification Plan Status: )?

We did not get the email and it shows “Early Action - Requested” as Notification Plan Status. We sent the application by 10/31 and the school credentials are received on 11/06 on the website.

Thanks.

My D submitted the application in early October and received the confirmation email with UMID a few days later. She did not get the EA qualified e-mail until 2 days ago though. However, the application status was changed to 'Early Action - Qualified" last week. They downloaded the last part which was the school report on 10/16 but it showed as not received until 10/30 right before the status change.

UMich typically wants to receive everything by the deadline. They have extended the counselor and recommendation deadline to 11/4 due to the glitches at CommonApp.

Thanks billcsho. We got UMID email 11/04 and school credentials showed 11/06. All school credentials are sent through Naviance. Test scores were received by 11/01.

Where did you find the deadline 11/4 for extension for school credentials?

Thanks.

I read that from a site online. Anyway, you should not worry if you did submit the application and all parts from you before deadline. Here is what they said on their admission facebook:

Status changed to Early Action - Qualified today. Haven’t got the confirmation email. So it looks like as long as your application is submitted before Nov 1, they will treat you as EA.

I still have not received my confirmation mail. Should I be concerned? Btw, I applied 11/1, because of my teacher’s recommendation T_T

When did you apply on 11/1? I applied on 11/1, and I got my e-mail yesterday.

9 AM. That’s when my teacher finally uploaded his recommendation onto Naviance.

That’s strange. I submitted my application around 9pm.
