<p>Hello all! I missed the deadline to submit my CSS profile to my ED college (the deadline was Jan 1), and am now in a state of complete panic.</p>
<p>I emailed the college about it, and they said to send it in ASAP, and that I might not get priority consideration and an early notification about financial aid.</p>
<p>While I am fine with those consequences, what worries me most is the consequence this may have on my application. Will the admissions committee be notified about this? I also hear horror stories about colleges telling other colleges about students, and I am worried my ED college might be so upset with me that they are going to tell the other colleges I am applying to about it. Especially since another school gave me a nice scholarship. I'm so worried about losing it!</p>
<p>Right now, I am probably just being paranoid, but it would help to know if this has happened to anyone else and any advice on this matter. </p>
<p>As for the CSS, my family and I are completing it ASAP.</p>
<p>All this means is that you need to send the CSS (and anything else, by the way) ASAP. You may not get a financial aid package as quickly as if you had met the priority deadline. </p>
<p>If you're already accepted to the school, you have agreed to attend and really shouldn't have any pending applications.</p>
<p>The only real problem you might have is that the late filing may make it harder for you to get out of an ED agreement on financial grounds. </p>
<p>Your ED school may tell other schools that you were accepted ED; they won't tell other schools that you applied for FA late.</p>
<p>Are we to assume that you haven't been accepted ED yet? (I know of at least one school that has a February ED deadline.) If you were accepted, you need to withdraw your other applications ASAP, as thumper1 mentioned, and then there's nothing for your ED school to tell anyone.</p>
<p>I havent been accepted ED yet. I will find out in February. I just do not want the college hating me for being late with financial aid stuff. :[</p>
<p>I don't know if this will apply but I applied for my ED in November. The CSS profile was due the same day as the application (nov. 1) but I totally forgot about it. I submitted it 2 days late (nov. 3) and the university was ok with it. I got my acceptance with the financial aid like everyone else did.</p>
