my application was completed october 25th !
i called numerous times and they have told me htat everythign was complete
and now i get a message saying that i have a missing transcript !
what is this about. does anybody have this problem?

I'd call to make sure they have it. I know last year, even after my D was accepted and clear up to the time school started in the fall, her records said that she was missing her final transcript even though we sent it twice. I just think Pitt can't keep up with all the paperwork and they get behind in updating. Just call to make sure they have it. They also "misplaced" D's AP scores, but were found so she got credit for that, too. I think sometimes the paperwork is sent to the wrong part of campus. I think her AP scores were sent to the Admissions Office, but they wanted them in the College of Nursing. Anyway, call. It won't hurt.

I don't know if you still need a reply (you probably don't), but I've had that same problem with a lot of the schools I've applied to. They just get too much paperwork and they lose a lot of it. Call in to check if they have it--they usually don't. Be really polite and they're usually fine with you resending it in. It won't affect your decision other than it being later that you would want it

Pitt took an entire year to find son's AP scores, which didn't get credited until his sophomore year, as I recall. I think it is best to follow up becauses they do get things lost and confused sometimes.

My D's AP scores got to Pitt, but they went to the admissions office. The school of nursing wanted them. She had to bug them to get them sent over to the school of nursing, but they made it over there and credited in about a month's time. My recommendation when you go to sign up for classes as a freshman is to take along a copy of your scores to show them. That's what my D did and they said she could exempt out of those classes, but they still wanted an official score sent to them from college board as proof (which was there just not in the right place) You definitely have to know what needs taken care of and stay on top of it with Pitt.

Just call admissions and confirm that they have your records. You can also have your hs send another set of the transcripts. As for the AP credits, I think that the scores get sent to the main admissions and then the nursing school or engineering or business schools never get them on time. You can have the collegeboard send the scores directly to the appropriate schools and bypass regular admissions. Pitt will credit you when they finally receive the scores. This AP reporting certainly seems to be a problem and it takes time for things to finally be accounted for. You just have to be on top of it.- you don't want to lose your AP credits, they are valuable!!
