Missouri schools for voice/ choral

Any feedback is much appreciated.

Daughter is the lyric to my mezzo, lol. Accepted to Western Missouri, Central Missouri, UMKC, and some other schools we likely cannot afford (FSU, UNT).

Academic scholarships already at Western and UCM, but not at UMKC (no surprise). Hoping, of course, auditions, bring music scholarship. Wants to do BME choral, but has performance level voice, easily, advanced. (I was Performance at Baylor; she has me beat, hands down.)

Any feedback about the programs (choral, music ed.), and the voice faculty would be greatly appreciated. I became a nurse and am out of the loop. I am more interested in good pedagogy versus reputation as a performer, but would take both for her, lol.

Thanks!

If the UNT College of Music offers you a $1,000 per year scholarship, you would pay in-state tuition there.

Yes, we know, thanks. She has already secured an academic at UNT, but of course we won’t know about music for a bit yet. The Missouri schools will be much cheaper, we think.

Don’t count FSU out if D has strong academics. They have out of state tuition waivers and can stack musice and academic money.
