I misspelled the book title on my SAT essay. Instead of writing Fahrenheit 451, I wrote "faranheit" 451. Will my score drop a lot with this mistake?

I don’t think it’ll be that huge of a deal. It’s more about the quality of the writing. in fact I completely made up some “fact” on my sat essay…

Don’t worry about it. D2 mispelled a lot of words in her essays(the ones that I had to input to the online CB for grading) and I’m sure she did have a few mistakes in her real SAT too. She scored near perfection for WR.

okay! that makes me feel a little better (: so it shouldn’t drop my score as long as I included enough detail and analysis right?

I don’t know about the analysis either, I think the trick is to write very long. I think in the process she misspelled quite a few words.

ohhh, I finished my essay in a good page and a half… w/ smallish writing. I hope it will be enough to give me an 8. thanks! C:

SAT readers skim through essays like the wind-as long as you didn’t misspell the title so many times, I think you’ll be okay.

No, i only mentioned the title twice, once in the intro and once in the conclusion because i wasn’t entirely sure how to spell it.

No, it’s not about facts. SAT teachers are not supposed to take points off however untrue the fact is. you can basically lie and make up stories in sat essay and still get a good score, as far as I know.

Shouldn’t be too much of an issue. The graders are looking more for ideas and structure. If you have a lot of mispellings or poor grammar, you would take a hit, though.
