On all the applications I’ve submitted so far that are Early Action, I incorrectly filled out one award. I mentioned the organization and the place of award I won, but I didn’t say the name of the award because I, for some reason, thought it was implied. I also checked both national and international by mistake when it should just be national. I’m pretty sure most decisions have been made by now, and there’s no point in me correcting the mistake. Will suspect that I’m trying to lie, and will this heavily affect my chances? It’s not like it was a huge award, but it did have to do with my major.
If you omitted the title of the award, they will assume that you forgot to write the title of the award. That’s it. If they figure out what it is, they will take in into consideration, if not, they won’t. Nobody will assume that you are trying to lie about anything.
At very worst, it is the same as forgetting to add the award.
Just remember to include the title in your RD applications.
