Mistake of a counselor

Hey guys,
I was wondering what would happen if the teachers + counselor sent secondary school report and teachers' report to wrong schools. I mean, I asked them to send those reports to school X, Y and Z. What would happen if they mistake universities and send evaluation form to Y instead of X and to Z instead of Y.. ?

I’m not sure what you’re asking - are you saying the rec named the specific school where you’re applying? Usually they’re more generic than that.

Regardless, why do you think there was a mixup?

Okay, sorry! Let me explain you once again. My teachers + counselor love customizing things and, take it for granted, they named the universities/colleges I am applying to. For example at the begining of the recomm letter they wrote “University of X”. I was wondering what would happen if a letter with Uni of X accidentally got to Uni of Y instead of uni X. Probably the body is everywhere the same, but still the headline is important…
I hope it’s clearer now.
Would the uni of X be offended if they got a letter with Uni of Y instead and, consequently, my chances to get in would be diminished? Christ… Besides, it wouldnt be my fault.

I was wondering… What IF.

From someone who has worked on the college side before: IF (emphasis on the IF) your counselor or teacher made this error, the colleges would be pretty forgiving, much more so than if you made the error yourself. In general, colleges are pretty sympathetic to the workloads of counselors and teachers. But if I were you, I would just give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they too the necessary care in representing your properly and accurately to your colleges.

WinstonWolfe,

Thank you for your words, they are really relieving. I believe my teachers and counselors are standing for me and would love to represent me properly. I take that for granted, but human is always a human and may make such mistakes.

Thanks:)

PS. So eitherways, i do not need to stress out
