I thought my school use unweighted gpa, so I put unweighted gpa for one of my application. But apparently it’s weighted. And i submitted it a week ago. Should I contact the admission office? Is this a major problem???
I did the same thing today Found out my GPA is out of 4.0 not 5.0…
When I looked it up, it said to call the admissions office and ask to speak to your area’s admissions counselor. Tell them of the mistake and they will tell you how to proceed.
Thank you so much!!!
They will also see (and verify) your GPA on your transcript. This probably happens more often than we’d imagine.
Haha, that might be very true
Who said call them to correct the scale?? The GC will report gpa and scale, adcoms will look at the transcript for classes and grades. Don’t be the kid who freaks out over the small stuff.
But I do wonder why so many kids have been making mistakes this year and then posting frantic threads.
Yes I’m over that stage now, thanks.
And I believe many students make mistakes when they first apply to college. Maybe you or your kids are “smarter” than the others, according to your response, but it doesn’t mean it is uncommon for students to make small mistakes. Asking questions on college forum is a way to find help by experienced people not the ones who find their sense of superiority and sarcasm when they find other people making mistakes. Maybe it is just not your way.
