Ok so crisis moment here guys. I submitted my application a few weeks ago for umich and I just realized there is a mistake on it. In the "parent education" part I didn't answer because they did not receive a college degree. However, apparently there is a selection for a high school diploma. On my App, It says "I don't Know".... Does anyone think this will be an issue? I should mention this is my second time applying, is there any chance they will just look at my Fall application for the education selection? I'm freaking here guys so any advice is helpful.

as mistakes go, this seems like a pretty small one.

Some colleges take into account whether someone is the first generation to attend college, so, you might not get credit here.

This is your second time and you are still applying as a freshman?

Yeah it’s my second time… I have very high statistics and was wait-listed last time… Due to some personal reasons the sooner I get to umich the better.

And thanks for the advice Zephyr! I feel a little better about it now…

Goblue81… With good stats do I even stand a chance at winter semester as a freshman?

I presume you are taking a “gap term” in the fall?

No I am currently at CMU, and while it’s a good school it’s definitely not UMICH. I have a strong curriculum (lot of chem and 200 bio) plus a residential medical community and research… Along with some community service… But again it’s not UMICH.

Oh and I sent in an email to ecredentials clarifying my mistake, then sent a duplicate email with my UMICH id and app number… They dont take points off for being anxious right? Lol

So you are a transfer applicant. It’s fine as long as you realize that you will be evaluated entirely on our high school credentials. The good news is winter term is usually less competitive; the bad news is the other guys will have a year of college GPA on record.

GoBlue81 you seem to know what your talking about… Would you care to chance me? I have a thread started that no one seems to care much about…

How would they know if you know if your parents graduated highschool?

Sneakerhead91… Because this is my second time applying. I didn’t miss it last time
