Do you expect any need based aid? If you don’t expect any, it does not matter. If you submit FAFSA, you will still be eligible to loans.
@billcsho I don’t expect much aid (why I’m in this situation), but can’t a lie on the common application lead to rejection? I did fafsa and css btw. Unless there’s a way to possibly cancel the application? I sent it out about a week ago.
I don’t think that would be considered a lie. People change their mind all the time. What may happen is the school do not consider you for other source of need based aids. You can still submit FAFSA even if you claimed you do not need financial aid from school.
You can apply for aid. As noted, folks change their minds. Contact the colleges and ask that the answer be changed to YES.
