<p>My S (who was accepted ED to CALS) misused a word in his supplement essay and then caught the mistake the following morning. He emailed individuals in both admissions offices (the University and CALS), asking if he could resubmit the corrected essay, and received a positive reply from both. Obviously the whole incident did not hurt his chances.</p>
