Hi CCers. Today I got received College A's account for tracking application materials. I logged in and found out a letter of recommendation is missing, which also happened for College B. Hence, I copied an email inquiry on the missing file that I had sent to College B previously and substituted college name in the content. But the moment that I click the "Send" button, I found one place that College B's name is not replaced! But that had been sent. I immediately sent a corrected version of the email, reiterated on interest in College A. I don't know if this is very serious. Will they use that to count against my application? What should I do now?

Mistakes happen and admissions officers know it. It certainly won’t impede your chances but it’s definitely embarrassing. It’s not the end of the world!

You’ll be fine. It’s not serious.

Don’t worry. It’s just an email inquiry, not even your essay, where students have been known to answer the “Why College X?” question by mistakenly using the name of College Y.
