I made a few mistakes on my Yale SCEA application, and I was deferred. Does my original application that I already handed in get automatically transferred to the RD pile? Or is it possible for me to send in a new, accurate, corrected one?

YOu can correct it I'm sure

Okay. So how? Can I just submit another Common App or should I call the Yale admissions office?

Thanks, by the way, for the reply!

I also second this question...

I'd call/contact the admissions office, seems like sending another app would just cause trouble.

Is there a number on the website?

Is your "mistake" even significant enough for them to make the distinction between a deferral and an acceptance? Cuz honestly, they will be annoyed if it's something like secretary instead of treasurer of some club.

I don't know if I should do the same thing -- I received a leadership position and an award since I sent in my application. I don't know if sending this in will make a difference though. We have until March to act! lol

you can do it. I submitted my application for RD, and I was like "oh crap" because I made MAJOR mistakes and here's what my region admissions officer said to me:
"Dear Hanna,

Thanks for your note and interest in Yale. Please forward me the corrections you'd like to make on your original application. I'll make sure they are added to your file for my and the committee's consideration.

Season's greetings and all the best with what remains of your senior year.

Sincerely,

Amin Abdul-Malik, Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions, Yale University.

"
YAY!

and I made the mistake because I'm so computer illiterate that I only realized it after I submitted it and was freaking out about the Common App lockign my app.
