MIT 2014 RD Discussion Thread

I sent the IFSAA :stuck_out_tongue: Free FA forms FTW!

MIT now required all applicants to submit CSS PROFILE though

^

not exactly. A big lot of us submitted the ISFAA

No point in paying for forms when you are applying for FA :P

Thereā€™s no need for a financial aid application if I donā€™t think I would qualify for anything, correct? Someone told me that all MIT applicants must submit one, and although I think Iā€™m rightā€¦Iā€™m asking anyway.

You donā€™t have to submit it. I submitted mine even though I wonā€™t get any. My father says that he can only pay half of what MIT says he can pay

ā€œMIT Regular Action admissions decisions will be available online on Sunday, March 14th at 2:00pm EDTā€¦ actually, weā€™ll probably have decisions posted a minute before 2pm.ā€

10 dayss!!!

^Omg where did you see that?! :D

edit:
hmm are you sure youā€™re not just looking at mattā€™s old blog entry from last year? seems to be almost an exact match.

edit 2:
decisions.mit.edu is online and confirms the date! Iā€™m so excited!

They sent out an email:

Looks like itā€™s Pi Day after all!

Yeaahhhhhhhh!!!

8 more days!!

@soadquake981 Really? Any idea why I havenā€™t received that email (yet) ?

8???
its almost 10ā€¦

I mean, today shouldnā€™t count as a day right because itā€™s almost over, and 3/14 shouldnā€™t count as a day either because weā€™ll be counting by hours then (or minutes) ā€¦

I hope your math skills are representative of this yearā€™s applicant pool.
Then Iā€™ll be sure to get in!
jk ;)

LOL@Calico
Iā€™d better count 10 days than count down 8 and find myself in the middle of nowhere :P

It turns out that time is an illusion-the decisions are already available!!! :D

there is no spoon

Until we click on confirm we are simultaneously accepted and denied.

@soadquake, how can anyone not have a MyMIT account if he applied?
