I just submitted my application for regular action. I already found a mistake, but it’s only one word choice. I hope I don’t end up pulling all my hair out… Good luck, EA applicants!

I submitted my RA application.

I submitted my RD application quite a while ago; on October 29th, actually. I’m meeting my interviewer on December 9th and am incredibly pumped! :)

yes im being recruited for water polo
you?

Just had my interview. We talked about a variety of things, including but not limited to MIT hacks, fractals, engineering (theoretical versus applied math), linguistics, artificial intelligence, UROP, Japanese versus Chinese in terms of syntactical/grammatical structures, robotics, and study abroad programs and opportunities. The interviewer also added a few of his own personal anecdotes about his experiences as an undergraduate. It ended up taking two full hours. He’s an awesome guy. :D

SOOOO excited! Can’t wait til thursday! I loved my visits, the people are so much less snobby than at other high end schools.

aaarrrghh.
i wanna know on thursday only if i was accepted.
if i was rejected, i’d really rather not know
but yeah, i loved mit for all the same reasons you did Ericroflcopter1
the people are so not snobby
plus the atmosphere allows for creativity – the other high end schools seem to stifle it

Thread revival - RD

I’m so anxious… I’m finished with my app and now editing it for like the 10th time. I’ll wait for Wednesday to click the submit button.

i’m still trying to muster up the motivation to finish my app.
but to think, we’ll have to wait months before we know… :(

^I know right? I wish we have a time machine and speed it up to mid March :P

Submitted, now the wait…I’m so excited…and nervous at the same time. I felt as if my MIT short answers are the best out of all my app, but I could be wrong. Well, I jst need to wait till pi-day and find out. Anyone here applying to Caltech?

Any deferees know what they’re going to update their apps with yet?

Come February, I’ll update with January SAT scores, grades, and hopefully a win at the science fair (at my school, 90% of school winners place at states…).

hi guys, i’m from india.

done with my app and interview. the interview was rather good and the interviewer actually said that he thought i was a good fit for MIT. :)

anyways i’m an international so that kinda kills a lot of my chances… :

How and when do the results come in? Are they emailed or just posted on my MIT? Anyone know exactly when?

Mid to Late March. There’s a decisions site that’ll show all you need when the time comes.

Can you guys actually fill out the midyear report yet? I was looking around and I think I may be clicking on the wrong links but not sure, haha.

MIT historically has released regular decisions on March 14 at 1:59 PM. It will be left as an exercise for the student to see the humor in this timing.

So nervous and excited to find out. These next couple months are going to stretch on forever.

Decisions come out at 3.14159. :)
