MIT acceptance rate

With the intension that most of the people on this thread attend MIT, I am asking the following question:

1) How many applicants does the GRADUATE dept. of Nuclear Engineering at MIT receive each year?

2) And what is the acceptance rate?

I did ask this question in the Graduate thread but didn't get any satisfying answer. May be you guys know it. Thanks!!!

If the graduate side of 22 is anything like the undergrad side, the department is small enough to actually give personal attention to prospectives. You might get a good answer and some advice by looking up the faculty and finding one who's research interests you and starting a dialog.

I looked for an answer to your question, but the only information I could really find was for the EECS department (course 6). I would suggest contacting the department directly with your question.

According to Petersons.com:

108 applicants

41%

I have no idea what the acceptance rate is for MIT undergrads vs. non-MIT undergrads. That makes a big difference in some departments. I also have no idea what it is for master's vs. PhD - Peterson's lumps them together.

Thanks a lot jessiehl. That seems about right...

Thanks for posting that link.
