<p>My sister got in to MIT EA two years ago.
STATS:
3.94 unweighted GPA, 4.5 weighted
AP courses & exam scores: AP American Civics (5), AP Euro (5), AP Macroeconomics (5), AP Microeconomics (5), AP Environmental Science (5), AP Calculus (4 on exam but A in course), AP Probability Statistics (5), AP French (5), AP Biology (4 on exam, A in course), AP Psychology (5), AP Chemistry (4 on exam, A in course)
*Completed 3 summer courses @ Villanova U
Awards:
*National Merit Scholar
*Student of the Month a few times
*1st place a few times in various speech contests
*Awards for ALWAYS being on honor roll every marking period
*Ribbons in swimming
*Some other awards, I can't exactly remember, sorry
ECs:
*Secretary of National Honors Society
*Pres of Robotics
*Track & Field
*Swimming
*Ping-pong club, LOL
*Best Buddies officer
*Reporter for school newspaper
*Frequently published writings in school's lit mag
*Community Service Corps (a LOT of community service after school)
*Job, did only about 12 hours a week at a coffeeshop
SATs:
Math, 750/Verbal, 790 = 1540
*Essay was very good, according to her guidance counselor. I didn't read it.
*Recs were probably good, I suppose...

...so there you have it. I feel inferior in comparison, though I'm a pretty good student. I'm a junior and looking at schools like UPenn and William & Mary. I'm not sure where I want to go yet, really. Hope these stats help you.</p>
