Lion, try reading more of the MIT admission blogs (and other blogs as well) before asking questions that are answered there. MIT’s website has a wealth of information.

But if it’s not possible to say, what do you want us to say?

When MIT says that they evaluate applications holistically, they mean that they are looking through the whole application and considering all of its component parts when deciding whether to admit you. As a result, no one can tell you whether your preparation is adequate just by hearing a few statistics about you, even an admissions officer like Chris.

I realize it’s frustrating to hear, but nobody can tell you whether you, personally, are academically prepared and will be admitted. The only way to find out is to apply.

I like the way the ppl here encourage students for applying.
Can you still answer my question provided the fact I had no significant hardships in life ?

LionHeart, people here have been exceptionally nice to you. You’re looking for answers that even the admissions office can’t answer. If you have to keep prying and pushing for finding out exactly what will make you stand out in a sea of applicants, then chances are others will shine over you.

Focus more on learning about subjects that interest you, both academic and non, which will make you grow as a person and contribute more to the world around you rather than try to figure out exactly what you have to do to impress admissions.

Go out and live life to the best of your ability – if you read more of the admissions blogs, that’s generally what they’re saying.

the thing for intl student some Math olypmiads other than the IMO are not recognized eventhough they’re a bit tough , besides: what good does qualifying for the IMO in a"“weak in math” country and get 0 or 2 while others can’t qualify in their country and if they ever did they would get a lot more than2’s.
The truth is that evaluating international apllications is so hard especially that 4000 of the world’s elite is fighting for 150 places!!!
