So here's the deal.
I have been applying to many colleges, and honestly, I almost forgot about MIT. Unfortunately, I looked at it too late, and missed the interview deadline. Interviewers must report by January 6, so I immediately emailed my interviewer asking for one. However, the MIT application asks the status of my interview. Should I say that I contacted my interviewer but he has not responded, I will schedule an interview, or should I say other and that I missed the deadline? I don't want to write the last one because it doesn't sound like a good thing to say on an application. If anyone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it as I'm kind of freaking out.

Do the “I have contacted my interviewer” option.

“I have contacted my interviewer”. If you do not have an interview for MIT (and it hasn’t be waved) your admissions chances go down to approximately 1.4%. So, the lesson to be learned is: GET THE INTERVIEW QUICKLY!
