<p>Wow... had they ever explained this before? Comes as a surprise to me, and somewhat disappointing since my writing score raised my average from 735 to over 750.</p>
<p>Yes, MIT was very explicit about the fact that the writing section wasn't going to be used to evaluate applicants. Check out Matt's blog from August</a> 22 --
