I'm going to MIT this fall and am planning on doing the undergraduate program at MIT's Sloan. I don't know very much about the program except from the Sloan website. What's the school like? How hard is it compared to the rest of MIT? And what kind of jobs do people pursue afterwards?

uhm.... it's ranked #2 in the nation.. so i'm guessing you will get a decent job afterwards...

I know I should take advantage of that and major in business while I'm there or should I major in a science/engineering and then pursue an MBA? I know I will eventually go to graduate school so what should I major in for undergrad?

Im having the same predicaemtn. Except im planning on going to Rutgers.

Econ degree (B.A) or engineering...i also want to go get an MBA but want to go into Hedge Funds...

AHH what to do?

How about studying what you want to study?

If you're at a non-target like Rutgers, engineering might give you an advantage over other disciplines. If you go to a school that has a top business program, do that. In the case of MIT (top engineering AND business), I heard that engineers look down on the Sloan students. Although it has a quant focus (like CMU Tepper), it's probably not as tough as the engineering program. But still, great opportunities nonetheless.
