MIT- Business?

Is MIT's business program good? I really want to do business and I'm trying to find colleges that offer a good education (i don't care about recruitment opprotunities...I'm one of the lucky few who has a guranteed job out of college).

Sloan's rated #2 overall for business, and #1 in a lot of subcategories. So overall...yes. It's a great program. Here's the bad news, though: a lot of engineering/science majors at MIT tend to look down on it because it's an "easy" major. Even so, employers love the name MIT.

Sloan's MBA is rated among the top in the country, but the undergrad management degree is looked down upon.

fwiw, many MIT grads go into finance/business without having majored in management as undergrads. it's the intelligence and analytical skills that get polished here, not just field-specific knowledge.

and while what eighteenforluck says is true about 15 being looked down upon by sci/eng students here, i'm not entirely sure that that's a relevant point. who cares what people think, if you're studying what you want to study? and yes, i probably wouldn't ever want to try to hold a conversation with a sloanie, but that's my problem, not theirs.
